Alexander James Interiors is proud to have its own expert in–house installation team, including curtain fitters. We can supply decorators and electricians, but equally can work with your contractors if appropriate. 

We are a full-service design studio, which means we will design your scheme from scratch to your brief and budget and procure all your items ahead of installation.
Your designer will take time to understand your likes and dislikes and will be completely led by your brief, working to achieve your desired finished result.
Every client is different in their wishes and the level of involvement they want to have. Therefore our approach to your project will be tailored to your needs.
With over 30 years of experience, AJI is proud to have worked on some of the country’s most prestigious homes. With a team of nearly 25 talented designers, we can provide a best-in-class service to our clients. Unlike some other designers, we will not charge you a full design fee and there is no charge for the consultation or any of the time that your designer spends on your project.
Naturally this is dependent upon the brief and scope of works – from the initial consultation, a project can be anything from a couple of months to over a year.
We have no specific in-house look or style, your brief is always at the forefront and we will design accordingly. For example, some clients want a very practical solution, others are focussed on sustainability, and some believe longevity to be the most important factor. All of these considerations will inform our design for you.
We attend the major annual trade shows in the UK, Paris and Milan. Most days we meet with at least one supplier to see their latest collections or to bring a new supplier onto our already extensive list of approved suppliers. We also are lucky to have a studio in Chelsea with direct access to Chelsea Harbour where interior design’s biggest names are represented.
We will provide complimentary CAD elevations for joinery fitted furniture or headboard walls. We can also provide CGI visuals of the whole room which will greatly assist in your design decision making.
Yes, we work on renovation projects and new builds for both private and corporate clients.
No, we are design specialists for private residences, show homes, hotels, offices and care homes.
Yes, our Interior Architecture team are award winning in space planning which will inform your furniture layouts. This is always the first design stage and acts as a strong foundation for the rest of the project.
We cover the whole of the UK, Europe and UAE.
We are lucky to have hundreds of manufacturers and suppliers that we work with, from small, family run businesses to global wholesalers. Most projects will include a combination of readymade items, although we try and avoid High Street/online retailers, together with semi bespoke and fully bespoke furniture. Some furniture is purchased in the UK, but not necessarily made in the UK, other items are imported from Europe or even the US. All our upholstered furniture is made in the UK.
Yes we do offer a show home rental service for property developers and, on occasions, a dress to sell rental service for private clients.
Yes, we can offer a full service from design to installation, or we can assist you in choosing designs and finishes from your own supplier.
